Kelly adds depth with Jesse Anthony, Ian MacGregor and others added for the 2010 season.
Kelly Benefit Strategies is adding depth for the 2010 road season with the addition of two experienced all-rounders and two young faces.
"Our biggest strength is our depth," team director Jonas Carney told VeloNews Friday. "We are not a team with one big star, but this year we had eight or nine guys we could rely on for results. Next year, we will have 11 or 12 guys ... we will have a lot of cards to play."
The new additions are Jesse Anthony and Ian Macgregor, who both come from Team Type 1, Alex Boyd, who comes from Rock Racing, and Guy East, who comes from Trek-Livestrong.
The four replace four riders who are leaving the team. Matthew Busche, who raced for KBS for just a few weeks, is moving to RadioShack. Jake Erker is retiring; Jonny Sundt is leaving for another team, reportedly Kenda Pro Cycling, and Jake Keough also is moving to another team.
KBS's new hires:
Jesse Anthony Anthony is best known for his cyclocross skills; he is a seven-time national champion in that discipline. He also won the KOM at the 2009 Tour of Taiwan this year, before a long bout with mono sidelined him for most of the road season.
Ian Macgregor Macgregor is a two-time U23 national road champion and has won climbing stages at the Tour de Beuuce and the Fitchburg-Longsjo Classic.
Alex Boyd Boyd was the 2007 collegiate national road race champion, and was third at the 2008 elite national criterium championships.
guy East East has aged out of the Trek-Livestrong U23 team. His strength is in time trialing and on the track. In 2008 he won stage 3 at the Tour of Belize and finished third overall.
